Sonia graduated from the Ecole nationale supérieure de chimie (Paris) and holds a PhD in organic chemistry from the Strasbourg University. She also obtained the diploma on European patent litigation awarded by the Strasbourg University
Before joining Bandpay & Greuter, Sonia worked in several patent law firms for twenty years, including as a principal.
Her scope of intervention is wide-ranging: acquisition of rights, including drafting new patent applications, filing supplementary protection certificates, and prosecuting applications in France and abroad; conducting opposition and appeal proceedings at the EPO; auditing patent portfolios; advising clients on freedom to operate issues as well as patent litigation.
Some of her subjects of expertise include:
- chemical synthesis;
- polymers and material science.
