Romain followed a complete academic formation in mathematics. He notably obtained a degree from the prestigious Ecole normale supérieure in Paris as well as a PhD from the Rennes university.

He started his career as a patent engineer at Bandpay & Greuter in 2018.

Although he handles a large variety of technical fields, he has developed specific expertise in analyzing technically complex NICT inventions which are particularly challenging in terms of patentability.

Some of his subjects of expertise include:

• computer programs and data science
• mathematics and applied mathematics, and in particular algorithms
• graphical user interfaces
• telecom
• mechanical engineering

At Bandpay & Greuter, Romain handles all patent-related activities from patent drafting to opposition and appeal proceedings.

Romain also teaches patent law to college students.
